Well, I went to Otakon this weekend. It was fun. I spent most of the time stalking JRock cosplayers... or any HOTT cosplayers in general xD I hunted down a few Kyo cosplayers; there were so many~ One girl was on the same bus as me from NY to Baltimore, and as soon as I saw her, I was like "OMFG it's female Kyo! O_O" After the ride, I came up to her all shy and stuff and was all like:
ME: Hey... do you know Dir en Grey?
HER: Yeah :D
ME: ZOMFG you look just like the vocalist, Kyo. AND I MEAN THAT IN A GOOD WAY. I mean, I admire him and love him and he's awesome and yeah.
HER: Yeah, I'm going to cosplay him, actually~
ME: ZOMG YOU ARE SO PERFECT O_O OK Bye :D
And I waved goodbye to her while riding the cab away. She was so nice too~
Maybe you saw me at the con if you went... On Friday, I was wearing a Trogdor the Burninator shirt, then on Saturday a black shirt with angel wings, and finally on Sunday, a black HYDE shirt (my sis took the pic with her phone xD). Here, this is me. Anyway, yeah, I was basically running around with a camera taking pictures while saying random things to people.
OH YEAH. Asian Kung-Fu Generation is signed onto SONY records (or something) and their albums will soon be released in America. (Or so Tofu Records told me). Dir en Grey is coming to America this Winter. And D'espairsRay will most likely go on a US East Coast tour this November.
I'll post actual pictures from the con later. For now, just crappy cellphone pics. Look, this is the HOTTEST Sasuke cosplayer EVER. And this is a random hotass guy. He was a dealer, and I asked him for a picture one day. Then again I came back the next day and asked "Could I take a picture of you?" and he replied "ANOTHER one?" while sort of laughing a bit. Then I made up some lame last minute red-faced embarassed excuse along the lines of "Well, you see... I wanna take a pic with my camera so I can send it to my friend because she loves umm... yeah guys who wear all black and stuff O_o:;;;;;" and so he let me xD (note: I wanted the pic for myself, not a friend of course :D)
Anyway, list of things I bought (and my sister bought for me after I ran out of cash XD):
- Barbed Wire Choker (yes, the one Hyde always used to wear xD)
- D'espairsRay wristband (it actually says "mania something-ke" but... umm... yeah)
- Hyde poster
- Gackt poster
- 2 Totoro dolls (one for a friend... you pull the string and Totoro shakes XD;; SO CUTE 8D)
- Tofu Records shirt (meh... whatever... the tofu cube is cute, even though I'm not too crazy about the company)
- Itachi cellphone charm (my sister got Sasuke and I got Itachi - even though she's the older one. They match 8D)
- Death Note cellphone charm
- Naruto armguard thing (with spiky knuckles so I can punch people and actually hurt them >8D~)
- DNAngel #1
- Eternity #2, #3 (OMFG BEST KOREAN MANGA EVER)
- NANA #9
And of course, free Puffy AmiYumi, L'Arc~en~Ciel (2 posters of them xD), and TMR posters from Tofu Records :D (what? Aren't you only allowed to get ONE? well, yeah, but those Tofu Records employees never remember if you already filled out a survey :D Besides, I made my sister give me the TMR one XD)
By the way, can anyone provide me with pictures of Kyo (from Dir en Grey) with no make up on? I'm planning on using those pics for a layout/wallpaper sometime soon.
OK. I'm done now. NOW THEN. It's time for your gift for reading through ALL THAT 8D Hyde spam as usual. I felt like capping Lover Boy from the SMILE TOUR DVD. Can you tell I'm obsessed with Hyde's nipples? 8D;;
